My New Skincare Routine

I’m approaching 40 and starting to notice real changes in my skin. I’ve always taken my skin seriously, but I knew it was time to invest in higher-quality products and a better routine. Supporting local was important to me, so I specifically looked for skincare made here in Alaska.

I found Sharon’s Wild Alaska Skincare and started with her Arctic Method Full Day System … and I’m genuinely hooked.

I’ll be honest: I was skeptical about the face oils. Most oils either sit on my skin and leave me shiny, or they absorb too much and leave my face feeling dry. Not these. They absorb beautifully and leave my skin feeling nourished, fresh, and comfortably soft … no grease, no tightness.

The Breakwater Cleansing Melt is incredible. The milky texture is so smooth I didn’t want to stop massaging it in. The Deep Current serum feels refreshing and hydrating, and the face oils seal everything in perfectly.

I’ve already ordered two of her body butters and a soap bar, and I plan to work my way through the rest of her line. If you’re looking for clean, effective, great-smelling skincare that’s actually made in Alaska, start with the Arctic Method system and a body butter. You’ll probably end up wanting everything she makes.

These body and bath products are my absolute favorite! I have lived in Alaska for 40 years and winter is rough on my skin. Her products are the only ones I have found that keep my hands from becoming red and chapped, and believe me I have tried everything! She has a variety of scents that all smell great. Her products are made with clean ingredients, which is another reason I use them. Both myself and my teenagers love these products!

Best find that I’ve found at a Farmers Market, located in Soldotna AK. I bought the body buttercream and foaming hand soap. This is now my favorite smell EVER!! (Alaskan Fireweed) What’s even better is my husband loves my new “perfume!” 🥰

I tried a little of the boreal glow oil at the Soldotna Wednesday Market, bought 1 bottle and instantly regretted not buy more once I got home! I love this product. I was applying lotion multiple times a day before. Now I just use this once a day body, hands & face. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all, absorbs, smells divine and leaves my skin glowing!
